The lack of drama in my household
My clean carpet throughout the house (I cleaned it). It smells so fresh!
The sound of Alicia De Larrocha playing classical piano (beautiful noise)
I sleep soundly
Isobel and Sophie sleep soundly
Free prefers not to sleep with Sophie (who is still inclined to seek out a warm teat)
I get my schoolwork done in such a relaxed manner, and I feel very satisfied with that
Wa comes over more often (I REALLY like that)
She and Steph are coming over for dinner tomorrow =)
There are no shoes, socks, beer bottles, diapers, or bobby pins here and there on furniture and the floor
There are no dirty dishes, beer bottles, cigarette butts (no one is supposed to smoke in my house at ANY time) or assorted trash in my kitchen sinks
The animals are much calmer, and Sophie has NOT missed the potty pad at all =)
There are no cigarette butts all over the porch and on the stepping stones on the side of the house (thank heaven's for THAT!)
My ankle, which as it happens was fractured after all, is healing nicely. It is still swollen, but not nearly as tender to the touch, or weight bearing as it was before
My right butt cheek is no longer black...it is red, blue, dark green and a kind of dark lavendar. It still hurts a little bit.
I sat down this morning, with a cup of freshly brewed coffee, at 0330 (been a long time since I've done that, eh?) and read Thursday's paper from front to back. Wow!
Drinking a cup of tea right now after finishing some classwork, and then going to bed

p.s. My team elected me team leader. Hmmm...we still function as a team, and have a great mix of personalities and strengths. I am delighted with this team, this class. I just have the responsibility of initiating projects (Nancy posts the details and assigns sections), proofreading and editing (I use the Center for Writing Excellence), then posting the final draft. I also post helpful information for my team members that are just starting at UoP, like a link to OWL of Purdue, and stuff like that. Also letting them know about used books through Amazon.com. I got my text book this class, which is $226, for $22.50 (inc shipping), and it was here in 3 days. How cool is that? It is in excellent condition, including the cover. I haven't had a bad experience with this. Now being in my Major, the texts come in handy, even after the class, for reference.

I haven't heard a peep from Mike or Beth since Tuesday when she came over to get a "few things" and said that she had a babysitter lined up for Thursday and would be here after 2:00 p.m. to get what she could of the rest.
Of course I won't let anything happen to their things, and if they don't come to get them, I will just carry the boxes (I packed things up for them so I could clean the room) to the shed and they will be safe there until they do come to get them.
I am still very...not angry, but something that isn't very happy...with Mike. Until I can resolve this within me, I really don't want to see or talk to him.

I got a call from Dan, who you may remember sold Wa her Summit back when. He sold M & B a very nice van, for which they are supposed to be making weekly payments. He said he hadn't seen or heard from anyone for three weeks. uh oh! I told him that I was certain they would be conscientious about this since it was their ONLY means of transportation. He said that she had never made a payment. Apparently her Nona, who I was given to understand is very ill and requires the constant care of B's mother, has been sending him a check every week from Alabama. The checks simply stopped three weeks ago. I gave Dan Mike's cell number, which M & B both use, and brought him up to date on their respective employment. I did consider calling B's mother in Alabama, but decided not to get involved any further. I am a little bit worried about Anna, but I'm not sure there is 1. any basis for the worry, and 2. Anything I could do realistically/legally if there were.

Shhhhh...do you hear that? It is Isobel and Sophie snoring...

Oh, I almost forgot...Charlie and Moose (Sarah's one year old boxer male) were playing enthusiastically, and the next morning Moose could not get out of bed. Sarah took him to doctor and Moose now has a shoulder to ankle cast because he sprained. Poor Moose! Charlie is being a good friend and gives him sweet sympathy. What a way to start a relationship, eh?

Goodnight sweetheart...goodnight
